This illustrates how NOT to apply repeated coats of Cabot or any pigmented
stain to your Fence Panels. The first coat serves to stain AND seal,
thus subsequent coats simply sit on the wood, unable to absord and a
resulting uneven blotchy finish. The excveption is the two-part
Sikkens finish, with the second coat providing a slight lustered finish.
A look more commonly used on the gates than the more landscape-oriented
fence-lines. (Refer to the Care & Maintenance section of our Installation
Guide for a long-lasting finish to your custom wood fence.)
