An apprenticeship that teaches not only the schematic complexities of advanced joinery, but the gift of patience and how the art of focusing patiently on the specific tasks at hand can result in a completed work that is nothing more than the sum of its details.

How do you teach this approach to a generation of completion-minded young apprentices? A generation raised on 30-second sound bytes and the instant gratification of video games who have been raised in a culture drawn to economic and materialistic wants? Well, fortunately, they come to us. Those who search for something more, the integrity of an existence drawn from a level of work likened more to the poet than the journalist. Young men grateful for the opportunity to learn, blessed with good character and easy-going metabolisms taught to disallow distractions in lieu of a present-tense focus that builds toward completion in a series of stepping stones.

But always, artisans at heart. By their intrinsic nature, answering a need to push beyond what has already been accomplished and venture into levels of design and function that is at the heart of any historical era built on ingenuity and pride.
