Wood Gate #24-1, in Toronto, Canada. Flanking panels and Arbor #1 as an assembly mounted to the site posts. Because there are no other gates between these and the site swimming pool, the gates shown are restricted to local pool-access codes--hence the latch is at 60" above the grade. The gates are also swinging out, away from the property, and fitted with self-closing spring hinges. Three requirements sited by almost all local building codes in the U.S. See Pool Gate Codes |

A view of the same double gates from within the property, where the #40-300 latch is seen as only a drop bar and no handle. Because the stone is only marginally uneven, the jambs were mounted directly onto the stone, requiring a little cold-chiseling of the high points to insure an even, stable seat before bolting the jambs to the stone using masonry spread bolts. |
