Prowell’s original concept for their wood garden gates designs and construction methodology is presented on the following pages, once representing the first phase in raising the bar on Landscape Furnishings. Setting a benchmark far above the level of work that was being designed and fabricated prior to Prowell’s introduction of its earliest wood gate design in 1992. Created with the principles of stile and rail construction. Each of the primary mortised joints within these garden gate designs is secured with an interlocking mortise-and-tenon joint to insure the greatest structural character. There are no screws or nails or metal fasteners.

If the gate designs move you, and the workmanship affects you in some pleasant way, then it’s as simple as imagining that pleasantry repeated every time you enter or leave your house. So if you have an argument with your Significant Other and you leave the house in a huff and get to the gate and through the gate your attitude suddenly changes, softens, and you turn back, and going through the gate a second time you’re left as sappy and soft as a puppy and because likely it was your Significant Other who insisted on the gate in the first place, she/he will be standing at the doorstep, tapping her/his foot on the landing with his/her hands on his/her hips calculating the cost of having Prowell’s wood garden gates scattered everywhere.
