Illustrating a Double Off-Set configuration when a gate-opening is too wide for a single gate and too narrow for two equal gates of a comfortable width.

For example, a 60″ wide walkway will translate into one gate at 42″, and a fixed gate at 18″. The fixed gate is held with a cane bolt, with the wider, operable gate latching into the narrow fixed gate. (The cane bolt is easily released for use of the full 60″ opening)

Seeing this gate a few years after posting the #17-6 is like seeing a ballerina flanked by weightlifters. The knotty grade muscle of the fence and arbor are slightly overwhelming.
