Continuous arch wood garden gates with alternating upper picket widths of 1-5/8″–3-1/4″. Spaced at 3/4″.

Because the pickets are spaced at 3/4″ instead of the standard 1-1/2″, and a shorter length than usual, we manage to create a semi-private gate without the uninviting aesthetic of a fortress.

If you have yet to build the columns or walls, mount the jambs directly to the block core and set the stone to the jambs.

How do I build a wood gate #76?

Laying out the top arch for the double gates #76-8. A ¼”T radius stick with a simple string knotted at both ends does the trick when working alone.
