Gate design 95 comes in two flavors. The straight top rail of 95 and the gable, or peaked top rail of 95-1.

Wood gates 95-1 features a gabled, or peaked top rail.

On a wooded, organic site such as this, it’s an obvious solution to insure both the gate and fence designs are open, exposing the landscape and planting. It is also an example of where a finish of stain or paint would dictate an aesthetic that is too formal for the surroundings. Left instead to weather to a natural gray.
