The latch on the sunburst garden gate #107 is designed to mount to the orientation of the spokes. Or, with this example as if approaching from the street, on left side of the gate shown.

Seen from within the property. The sunburst wood gate is identical on both sides.  The spokes, we’ll mention, are not applied, but full thickness and mortised to the stiles and rails, as well as dadoed–or grooved–to accept the ¾”T panels.

Also note that in 2012 we widened the diagonal spokes from the original. Resulting in a more structurally stable gate.
